POLÍTICAS EDUCACIONAIS, FINALIDADES EDUCATIVAS E ESCOLA EDUCATIONAL POLICIES, EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND SCHOOL

Abstract

This article aims to understand how current educational policies shape and influence the educational purposes of schools, impacting the implementation of these policies in the school curriculum. Methodologically, this is a bibliographic research. The theoretical framework is based on authors such as Saviani (2008, 2010), Ball (2010), Lôbo (2025), Manzi Filho and Santos (2025), Libâneo and Freitas (2023), Libâneo (2010, 2013, 2019), Lenoir (2013), Oliveira and Borges (2022, 2023) and Charlot (2024). It is understood that, through educational policies, the school has been conceived as a strategic space for the implementation of neoliberal policies, using the curriculum as an instrument for the materialization of an instrumental educational purpose. It is evident that linking the study of educational policies to the educational goals of schools allows for a deeper understanding of the ongoing reforms and their implications for Brazilian public schools.
