Abstract

This study presents partial results of educational research on how young people perceivedemocratic values and the educational spaces where these are shaped. Using bibliographicanalysis and survey data, it reveals increased youth electoral participation, yet persistentdistrust of political parties and dissatisfaction with democracy. Youth political engagementcenters on specific causes, often mediated by digital platforms. Findings suggest areconfiguration of youth political culture in the 21st century. Despite its formative potential,formal education remains a disputed arena, influenced by conservative and neoliberal forces.
