Abstract

To analyze the representations of migrant subjects in children's literature on migrations, relatingthem to the perspective of decoloniality, in order to verify: whether the social representationspresent elements of coloniality or a decolonial perspective. The research is justified in view ofthe emergency global phenomenon of migration and of Brazil as a destination country forinternational migrants, needing to welcome these people, including public health and educationservices. The concepts of coloniality/decoloniality refer to domination based on the process ofcolonization by the subordination of races, ethnicities and genders and to the decolonialmovement that questions the logics and bases of this capitalist/modern power.
