This study aims to present, side by side, the subjects offered in the Licentiate in Rural Educationat the Federal University of Catalão (UFCAT) and the Federal University of Goiás (UFG – Campus Goiás), reflecting how each curriculum engages with diversity in light of ResolutionCNE/CP No. 04/2024. Both propose an educational project linked to rural struggles. However, this perspective faces challenges with public policies like the resolution, which promotes ahomogenizing, instrumental, and pragmatic approach, denying diversity as a key element inteacher education. Expanding the debate on critical disciplines committed to diversity istherefore essential.
