THE TEACHING OF ETHNIC-RACIAL RELATIONS FROM GEOGRAPHIC CONTENTS: POSSIBILITIES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This article analyzes the importance of ethnic-racial relations in basic education, based on geographic contents, presenting possibilities for deconstructing stereotypes about black people in Brazil. In this context, we conducted a bibliographic review, whose approach highlights important reflections about the education for ethnic-racial relations in a broader sense, as well as strengthen the debate on the importance of this theme being linked to geographic contents in early childhood and elementary education, presenting some situations in early childhood education in a municipal school in Morro Agudo de Goiás. The teaching of Geography, as well as other human sciences, can provide a better understanding of race relations in Brazilian society.
