The impacts of neoliberal perspectives on the continuing education of basic education teachers

As a result of the globalization of the economy and the restructuring of neoliberalism, significantchanges have occurred in society over the past few decades. Basic education, situated in thiscontext, is a target of neoliberalism, after all, it is the place for the formation of a certain type ofsubjectivity, the creation of human capital that feeds the productive system (LAVAL, 2019). Thecentral objective of the article is to discuss the impacts of these neoliberal influences on schoolsand the ongoing training of teachers. The research methodology is bibliographic in nature. Thetheoretical framework is supported by the authors FREITAS (2014; 2018), LAVAL (2019),MANZI (2022).
