Abstract

The article examines the evolution of educational models in higher education and their influenceon the academic and administrative structure of universities. The Humboldtian, Napoleonic, andBritish models are analyzed, highlighting their origins, characteristics, and impact on theBrazilian educational system. The research adopts a historical and comparative approach,based on bibliographic sources, to identify the influence of these models on the organization ofuniversity institutions. The study presents the main structural aspects of each model anddiscusses its application in the Brazilian context, considering institutional transformations andcontemporary challenges.
