Abstract

This study investigates how Pedagogy programs at public universities in Goiás, Brazil, prepareeducators for the role of pedagogical coordinator in basic education. Through qualitative,bibliographic, and documentary analysis of curricular matrices and pedagogical course projects,it examines the inclusion of essential theoretical, legal, and practical elements. The findingsreveal discrepancies in workload and curriculum focus among institutions. The study concludesthat effective pedagogical training must reflect local educational realities, strengthen the linkbetween theory and practice, and promote reflective and critical skills through continuoustraining that bridges universities and school environments.
