Seridó Potiguar is a geographical and cultural region of Rio Grande do Norte, where thevalorization of education and work shapes the resilience of a society rooted in cattle ranching.While official history focuses on economic colonization, fieldwork reveals a resilient,subterranean culture and an ancestral educational system. The research investigates theSephardic community's (XVI-XIX centuries) struggle to preserve their identity in the face ofreligious prejudice. Supported by bibliographic review and field interviews, the main objective isto debate human responses to challenges across diverse cultures, at the intersection ofanthropology, culture, and education.
