Abstract

As an important role in the training of citizens in a globalized world, Geography presents itself as a great ally in reflecting on the most varied topics. To this end, the present article, coming from the practice of conducting in the Supervised Internship in Geography Teaching, has as its main objective the discussion of teaching practices for the contents of Oceania and Polar Regions at Colégio Estadual Armindo Guaraná, in the city of São Cristóvão/SE . Given the difficulties in problematizing content, the methodologies used to facilitate the teaching-learning process are listed. By bringing reality to these contents, greater use of the themes is expected based on critical reflection on the contents included in the classroom.
