This article addresses the challenges and perspectives of teacher training and appreciation in basic education, considering the influences of educational policies, curricular guidelines, and the neoliberal context. Based on a literature review, it discusses the epistemology of praxis in teacher training, highlighting the need for a critical-emancipatory approach that integrates theory and practice. Additionally, it analyzes the contradictions and pressures faced by teachers in contemporary society, emphasizing the importance of ethics and professional appreciation for promoting quality education. The objective of this work is to promote a debate on the training and appreciation of education professionals, interprofessional dynamics, and the daily challenges faced by teachers, considering the social, cultural, and economic influences that shape a given pedagogical approach.
