Vestígios arqueológicos na mesorregião Oeste de Santa Catarina - Brasil

Abstract

The project seeks to rescue, catalog and preserve archaeological remains found in the westernmesoregion of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The archaeological artifacts: arrowheads,spears, grain tampers, amulets, pendants and ceramics. They are being studied together withthe company ARQUEO PROJECT/ARQUEO Group Research Projects. An archaeologicalalbum entitled: Pieces that Count will be released. It will be used for educational purposes ineducational institutions and to encourage new research in the area of preventive archaeology.The project has been in development for several years, and also seeks to develop in childrenand adolescents an interest in research, in new discoveries in the area of archaeology, since thewestern mesoregion of Santa Catarina, Brazil, has a very significant and unexplored wealth, andwithout a doubt great discoveries have arisen through projects like this.
