This study is based on the right to education, equal opportunities, and diversity. Its objective wasto understand, analyze, and discuss how students with ASD are included in the municipaleducation system, aiming at an inclusive school environment and continuous professionaldevelopment for teachers. The process was based on the evaluation of pedagogical practicesadopted in municipal schools and the teaching and learning processes. As a result, classroomassistants and classroom teachers recognized the relevance of the pedagogical teachingstrategies used; considering them as possibilities for developing specific strategies in thetraining of teachers who work with autistic students.
