The negative impact of the use of artificial intelligence in the academic context and its implications for the public health

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the negative impact of the use of artificial intelligence in theacademic context and its implications for public health. This is an integrative review based in thecertified databases. The excessive use of AI compromise the development of critical thinking,generating superficial knowledge. In the public health context, researchers are prone toacquiring increased levels of anxiety/stress due to the pressure for productivity and the cognitiveoverload associated. Therefore, the negative impact is guided by the reckless use of technology,compromising academic quality and the lack of critical thinking and cognitive training.
