Abstract

This proposal aims to present the Archaeogeographic Method, developed by the author in over30 years of research on the Contestado War Region, a method that aims to advance theanalysis of studies on territory, beyond the political-legal, economic, environmental and culturalcategories, proposing an in-depth analysis of the territory based on the artifacts deposited in thesoil of study areas. As an example, based on the application of the method in question,archaeogeographic analyses will be presented in the historical-geographic sites of the Crematório de Cadaveres de Perdizinhas and the Vala Comum da Santa Maria, in themunicipality of Lebon Régis and on the border with Timbó Grande, both in the state of SantaCatarina.
