This study views an issue that is often left out of education approach: gender and sexuality matters. We deal with these issues as one of identity markers; in this case, markers guided by heteronormativity. Thus, the school will be treated as a power dispositive that reproduces and perpetuates a network power that we are submitted without realizing it. We propose to explore this existing network in gender and sexuality inequalities at school, using mainly Louro’s studies, which is guided, in turn, by Foucault’s reflections. We will: reflect on the implications of biopower and biopolitics in social markers of differences in relation to gender and sexuality; bring notes about body and its identity and how to think about other possibilities of social markers at school; finally, carry out a reflection that intends to take us out of commonplace of reproducing heteronormative values.
