The main objective of this text is to present a discussion about issues related to human formation, present in teacher education courses, based on “human diversity”, in a broad sense, and “sexual education in school”, in the singular scope. For that, a bibliographic investigation was carried out, which searched the following references: Almeida et al. (2007); Amaral and Rabelo (2003); Bock (2006); Coast (2002); Denari (2006); Ferre (2001); Freitas (2006); Furlani (2003); Goodson and Cavalcanti (2003); Lins and Santiago (2001); Wood (2001); Marques and Marques (2003); Rego (2011); Vitiello (2000); among others. Thus, it was discussed: education directed to human formation; teacher education for diversity; and sex education at school. Finally, the relevance of the existence of teacher education courses – Licentiates and Pedagogy – focused on human formation and diversity is highlighted. It is worth noting that the efficiency of such training will reflect on the possibility of carrying out quality Sexual Education at school. And, that it is possible to idealize a human sexuality experienced in the “relationship” between people, manifested in a genuine and integral way, without this turning into any damage of an academic, affective, corporal, financial, moral, professional, psychological, labor, political-ideological or social for any sexed subject.
